On Saturday September 21st, or the exchange students from the North of Holland with up in a beautiful town called giethoorn. Giethoorn Is often referred to as the Venice of Holland because instead of roads in the town, canals are used. It would only make sense for us to rent boats so we could see all the gorgeous cottages and the lake but instead of the two boats filled with exchange students having motors (like the boat the coordinators red in) we got to do it the old fashion way. This is called stippling.
Even though it was a lot of hard work all the student, and Alex (one of the coordinators) pitched in and had a great time on the water. After some wrong turns, many laughs, and pleading for motorized boats to help us we finally got to the end of our route. Once the boats had been docked, the students had time to talk with each other and share the experiences they have had so far. We all just got rewarded with food at the end! Overall it was an awesome day and a bunch of fun!
Take a look at the pictures of this day!
